Description
WSi Healthcare Personnel seeks a Corrections Mental Health Clinician to provide on-site assessment, therapy, and crisis intervention for incarcerated adults within a secure facility. In this role, you will complete diagnostic evaluations, lead individual and group counseling, develop treatment and discharge plans, and collaborate closely with custody, nursing, and medical staff. You’ll maintain thorough documentation, support de-escalation and suicide-prevention efforts, and ensure ethical, trauma-informed care. Develop and implement individualized treatment and discharge plans in coordination with custody and medical staff
Conduct risk assessments and document clinical findings in accordance with correctional and healthcare standards
Facilitate individual and group therapy focused on stabilization, coping skills, and rehabilitation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare and corrections teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and participate in case conferences and treatment reviews
Educate facility staff on mental health concerns, de-escalation techniques, and referral processes
Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional policies related to correctional mental health services

Active, unrestricted LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent clinical license in practicing state
Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field
Crisis intervention and suicide prevention training preferred
Experience in correctional, forensic, or acute psychiatric settings strongly preferred
Familiarity with HIPAA, PREA, and correctional standards of care
